CD-Text Reader

CD-Text Reader is a programming toolkit that provides the functionality of extracting CD Text from audio compact disks (CD-DA). CD Text is a technology developed by Sony Corporation and Philips Electronics in 1996 that allows storing information about an audio CD and its tracks (such as artist name, album, or song name) directly on the disk. Currently, many commercially available audio CDs contain CD Text information.

If CD Text is written on a CD, it is no need to query Internet databases for artist name or track list. CD-Text Reader delivers this information fast and right from the disk. No typos or misspelled names: the information comes directly from the publisher.

Also CD-Text Reader support retrieving information from FreeDB database.

Areas of Use

CD-Text Reader can be used in such applications as CD players, CD-DA analyzing and recognition systems, CD copying programs, audio grabbers, CD cataloguers and any other applications that work with Audio CDs.

CD-Text Reader works with virtually any programming language on Windows platform.
